Yasin Al-Tuhami - Vol1 - Qasidat Al-Wejdanyah
Sheikh Yasin Al-Tuhami, one of the most praised religious chanters in Egypt.
Born in the village of Hawatka in Manfalut, Assiut Governorate in Upper Egypt on December 6, 1949. He grew up in a religious atmosphere in a conservative family and so was the atmosphere of the general village, and most of its people belonged to the Sufi methods. Yasin memorized the Quran and its Tajweed before enrolling at Al-Azhar Institute.
Since the mid-1970s, Sheikh Yasin Al-Tuhami has emerged as a religious chanter capable of competing with Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tuni, the master of this art. Sheikh Yasin was able to stand on the throne for almost 30 years and elevate the popular religious discourse from the usual style and slang to the highest and most beautiful colors of the mystical poetry of the Sufism.
